Principles  of  Prayer  from  II Chron 6

           read & meditate on  II Chron 6:14-42

      

 

1.)        godly living invites God’s responses

vv. 14-16    [listen to Wednesday night’s tape, 22.8.01]

 

2.)        God hears and forgives us,  IF we

·       turn from our own way and toward His

·       confess His name

·       pray to Him

vv. 24-25

 

3.)        God’s blessings follow faithful adherence to His teaching

v. 27

 

4.)        keys to physical or spiritual warfare

·       pray specifically

·       rely on God’s provision and power

·       fear/ revere the Lord

·       walk in His ways

vv. 29-31

 

5.)        the Lord’s mercy on us is somewhat dependant on our heart attitude

v. 30

 

6.)        unbelievers respond to a Holy God with awe, obedience, and worship

vv. 32-33

 

7.)        as you respond to God’s  “call to arms” …

         you will know His presence and support

vv. 34-35

 

8.)        prayers of repentance need to be followed up

         by acts of true repentance

·       turn to God with your whole heart and soul

·       pray fervently

·       rejoice in the Lord
